Who We Are
We are a group of Christians from different fields— ministry, academia, and business—who care about seeing the Kingdom of God advance in the Philippines. We do this by supporting deserving church planters financially with the intent of seeing them launch faithful, effective, and sustainable churches.
Brief History
The Church Planting Foundation was founded in 2022 by Christians who wanted to give wisely—faithful to Scripture, accountable for impact, and sustainable for the future.
We focus on funding church plants because we believe God works through local churches. We also uphold high financial accountability standards and seek churches that can sustain themselves long-term to continue blessing others. We believe churches should lead society in being financially accountable and above reproach.
CPF requires no financial return—only a commitment to faithfully advancing God’s Kingdom.
Mission
Our mission is to finance and launch church plants all over the Philippines that will be faithful, effective, and sustainable. Faithful churches have a love for God, a commitment to sound doctrine, and a conviction to do ministry in a way consistent with the example of our Savior. This includes being faithful with the resources entrusted to us. Effective churches evangelize and disciple their communities. Sustainable churches are financially accountable and responsible which allows them to continue the work of the ministry.
Values
Faithfulness – We believe that churches should be faithful to God, to sound doctrine and ministry practice, and in handling God’s resources.
Integrity – We believe that we must handle God’s resources with fear and trembling with blamelessness, transparency, and accountability.
Fruitfulness – We believe that spiritual fruitfulness is a natural outcome of faithful connection with God.
Sustainability – We want to see local churches become financially sustainable so that the work of the Gospel will continue and they can be channels of financial blessing to others.
Statement Of Faith
CPF upholds biblical, historical Christian doctrine, affirming essentials taught in the Bible and celebrated across the body of Christ. We also recognize that there are other doctrinal matters where there are differences in position, without betraying the Bible’s central teachings. We allow for freedom of conviction in these areas and are grateful to have had the privilege of partnering with churches from various orthodox theological traditions.
For a detailed list of essential Christian beliefs, see the Lausanne Covenant.
